Love From a Stranger
by Agatha Christie
adapted for the stage by

Frank Vosper

LFAS bruce webCecily Harrington is bored with her proper and stale existence. After winning a large amount of money in a sweepstake, she longs for escape from the ordinary. Along comes a handsome and charming stranger, Bruce Lovell. He sweeps her off her feet in a whirlwind romance and compels her to abandon her job, her friends and family.

They settle in the remote and idyllic surroundings of a country cottage. However, her newly discovered "love from a stranger"’ is not all that it seems, and in an anxious final scene, Cecily will discover the horrid truth of her new love.

A chilling and intense psychological thriller that examines the sadistic mind of a criminal and the extremes to which love and power of suggestions can be pushed.
