Membership in The Finn-Brit Players (FBP) gives you the satisfaction of helping to support FBP activities, whether you are an active participant in all events or choose to participate only as an audience member. The group is open to all ages, although the vast majority of our events are for adults. Actors, directors and vital support crew have come from every continent. Although English is the working language, we welcome anyone interested in actively participating in live theatre.
Do I need to join?
You do not need to be a member to audition for us, but anyone who ends up being involved in a production must be a fully paid-up member. Non-members are also welcome to participate in FBP events, such as play readings and other social events, but may sometimes be required to pay a fee. Membership is also required if you wish to use the NoName Theatre premises. By choosing to become a member, you are actively supporting the Finn-Brit Players and helping to ensure that our events and productions can continue well into the future.
BENEFITS AND DISCOUNTS
Members (who have paid their fees for the current year) will usually get a 20–25% discount on FBP activities with an entrance or participation fee, including show tickets. For events, such as workshops and social events, this discount is personal. However, you may buy a reasonable number of show tickets for family members or friends to either accompany you to the theatre or watch you perform. (Please note that your discount needs to be manually activated after you pay your fees, and that this may take a day or so.) Members are also entitled to vote at general meetings and stand for committee elections.
Annual Membership fee – full membership
The Annual membership fees for 2022 are 35.00€ for Standard Membership and 14.50€ for Concession Membership. This year, we are also offering a Corona Aid Annual Membership to help the theatre through these difficult times. If you are in the position to be generous, you can pay 50.00€ for Corona Aid Standard Membership, 25.00€ for Corona AidConcession Membership, or your desired sum for Corona Aid Plus Membership. Concession membership is available to full-time students, pensioners, those doing military or civil service, and unemployed persons. Life membership is no longer available, but existing life memberships remain valid.
Annual Membership fee – supprting membership
Organisations, such as socities, associations and companies, may not be full members of the FBP, but they may be supporting members. The Annual membership fees for organisations are 30.00€.
All annual memberships expire automatically at the end of each Annual General Meeting (usually in January or February). As membership fees may be changed at the AGM, existing members should only renew their membership after the AGM. Full payment is due regardless of the time remaining in the current membership year when you join or renew your membership.
