Dear Players

Jack Frost is sneaking around, but we don't mind him. This autumn, the Players are co-hosting the FELT-IF 2012 Theatre Festival with Thespians Anonymous. And there is a host of other events planned. Read on!

September

The Players held auditions for FELT IF 2012 (The Bench), Poetry & Jazz, and The Woman in Black on 3 and 8 September. These were called for on our mailing list, web site and Facebook group.

The FELT-IF 2012 theatre festival features 7 short plays and will be staged at Tanssiteatteri Hurjaruuth, Kaapelitehdas, in late November. More information is available at www.finnbritplayers.com

Tuesdays 2, 9 &, 16: POETRY & JAZZ – 'Reflections'
2, 9, and 16 October 2012 @ 7 p.m.

This season we'll be gazing into mental and physical mirrors to see what stares back at us… So join us for poetry, monologues and music exploring all variety of 'Reflections'.

With Stina Halmetoja on piano and vocals.

Friday 02: Hallowe'en party
Friday 2nd November we will be burning the pumpkin and celebrating Hallowe'en. Organised by the Committee.

21-25 November: FELT IF 2012
The fourth Festival of English Language Theatre in Finland will be held on 21–25 November 2012. Three companies will stage a total of seven short plays:

The Finn-Brit Players is a member organisation of the Amateur Theatre Association of Finland (SHTL). This entitles FBP members to participate in SHTL activities, though these are mostly in Finnish. More information in Finnish at www.shtl.fi.
The Finn-Brit Players is also a member organisation of the Federation of Finnish-British Societies.

Membership fees
If you wish to become a member of the Finn-Brit Players please fill out a membership form (available online at www.finnbritplayers.com or from committee members at social events). Social events are open to everyone, but as a full member you can also take part in productions, vote at general meetings, stand for committee, and participate in certain events organised in conjunction with the Finnish-British Society, which may be restricted to members only. The membership fee for 2012 is €20 (€10 for concessions), life membership is no longer available, but existing life memberships are still valid.
