Open casting for minor production

WHAT: Open casting session for a minor production - this is NOT the main spring production.

December 12, 2.00-5.00 p.m. at Finnbrit: open casting session

We're seeking actors (male & female) in their mid-20s through mid-60s for several projects: unrehearsed readings, staged readings, and full productions of plays by Harold Pinter, and the Finnish introduction of American playwright Jakob Holder - who will direct a reading of his own latest play.  Please note that a portion of these programs are likely to occur in January and February, as well as the FBP annual spring production period planned for April 4-17. Further specifics will be disclosed post-audition. You will have the opportunity to read for a wide variety of roles from several texts.

The Party of Ultimate Political Correctness

WHAT: The seasonal Players' Party that is Politically Correct. Ultimately.
WHEN: Friday December 17, 19.30 - 23 pm
WHERE: FINNBRIT, Fredrikinkatu 20 A, Helsinki

17th December sees our Party of Ultimate Political Correctness (PUP-C)! Glögi, food, drink, the odd song or game of charades, plus one or two bouts of random madness - controlled thermal experiments seem to have been this year's theme... Bring a bottle and a friend, at 19.30 (*not* 19!).

30th Anniversary T-Shirt Competition

The Players are finally bringing out a T-shirt and we want you - our members -  to design it.

The winner will get to see their design come to life on our 30th anniversary T-shirt, and will also receive a free shirt. The winner will be announced at, and chosen by, the AGM. Dear Players,

An active society needs active members - in recent years there have been fewer and fewer people volunteering for the committee, and activities have been cut back. Heading into our 30th anniversary year, we would like to have a number of special events over the year, but to do that we need people to give up a bit of their time and help out. If you too would like the society to be even more active and even better for its anniversary year, then please run for committee!
